Week 23 - Bronwen Hyde & the melody censor - Green/Red

Left: Bronwen Hyde

tmc: This is my second time in the Divine Diptych Project to be paired with Bronwen, and was really excited to find out that she had picked red/Green as our theme for this round. I adore both red and green and often wear them together, which was my original plan when I first read the theme, but we decided to go with one colour each in the end. And really, when else will I get to wear red shoes and tights together?!

Week 12 - Vivid - sadandbeautiful (Sarah) and M.Fayre

Left: M.Fayre
Right: sadandbeautiful (Sarah)

M: Sarah and I were both suffering from a lack of inspiration and a surplus of interruption this week. However, this lead us both to photos other than our normal self-portraits and I am actually pretty happy with how these combined (though I do want to collaborate with Sarah on sp's one day as I we often seem to have a similar style or vision). When I saw Sarah's gorgeously graphic building shot I decided to pull one of mine from the archives in order to contrast the natural roundness of the heirloom tomatoes with the stark lines of Sarah's shot. Amazingly, the colors are actually rather similar. Also worth noting, Sarah's is shot with a Holga!

Week 2 - Hearts/Love - Elle Moss and Geekgirly

Left: Geekgirly
Right: Elle Moss

The only thing that was discussed between the two of us was that our images would be colour and square in format.
Geekgirly: This quote really was the basis for my image: "One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter." ~ James Earl Jones
Elle Moss: "I knew I wanted to do a self portrait and I wanted to do something outdoors and colorful, but then thought of the pop of a red balloon against the dull 'end of winter' trees. I love the final result and find both images share a charming whimsy."

Week 1 - Red & White - Sarah Schloo & Quizz

The theme given to us was 'red & white', and I had mentioned to Bogna that I already had a white(ish) picture with a mask in, and she told me she also had a mask picture which she changed to edit with red tones. So on seeing Bogna's picture, I thought I would reverse my mask here so that it matched the white mask of her photo. Our outcome is kind of like we are opposites that match!
